Joe McQuaid is Vice President, Therapeutic Area Head, Urologic Oncology at Aura Biosciences, where he is responsible for leading the urologic oncology program and driving future strategy. Dr. McQuaid is a board-certified urologic surgeon who joined Aura after serving as Associate Chief Medical Officer, Vice Chair of Urology, and Chief of the Division of Pediatric Urology at the University of Massachusetts, one of the largest academic safety net hospitals in New England.
Dr. McQuaid completed his general and urologic surgical training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and clinical and research subspecialty fellowships at Boston Children’s Hospital. He holds an MD from Harvard Medical School, an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, and a BA summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
